Christmas Morning

Finally, Alec gets a regular size fleece blanket! This poor boy has been using the first fleece blanket his grandma made him when he was toddling. Now he has a big boy Batman blanket! He uses his blanket every night now. Of course, the little puppy dog blanket has not left his bed yet! (Doloras, thank you for helping me by tying this blanket too!)

This blanket was a gift for Alecia from Mom and Dad. Due to my advanced pregnant state I had several people that assisted me in getting this wonderful blanket ready. My good friend Doloras did the tying. Thank you soooo much Doloras! I had done a baby blanket for a friend's granddaughter before this blanket and learned that being on the floor to do the typing was no longer an option for me. The beautiful embroidry job was done by my mom's co-worker Laura. My mom and Laura put many hours into getting the designs on the blanket perfectly.
Without their assistance on this blanket it would have never happened. Thank you both for the couple of late nights you both put in to get this blanket done in time for Christmas! Alecia has slept with her new blanket every night since Christmas!

Christmas Eve Morning

Twas the morning before Christmas and only one more day to wait. Then it would be the December 25th date. The children where whining about opening a gift from under the tree. First they asked dad and he left the decision to me. I asked the kids to wait until the next day, that's how we did it when I was little, what can I say! "Wait" they wailed, "we simply can't!" The gifts they wanted were from Alaska from their Uncle and Aunt. Yes, I finally told them and away at the paper they tore to see what the packages they received bore. And what to their wondering eyes did appear? Two Transformers for Alec, two books for Alecia,

oh dear! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Uncle and Auntie was all they could say as they scrambled from the floor with their gifts to go play!

Elbow Room

I guess I should explain why we call the baby Chalupa. Through-out most of this pregnancy I really wanted and could eat Chicken Chalupa Supremes from Taco Bell. Even when I was feeling sick to my stomach, I could eat a chalupa. I did check to make sure that chalupa was just a name of a food before I began using it too much. Would hate to be calling my kid some obscene name and not even know!

This ultra sound picture is also from 12/12. It is another favorite of mine. In this one you can see his forehead, eyes, nose, a bit of his mouth and his knees. Yes, those are his little knees almost touching his chin. Poor baby.

Baby Chalupa

I had an ultra sound on 12/12 and this is one of my favorite pictures. This is a frontal view of baby's face. His eyes are hidden in a shadow but you can clearly see his nose, cheeks, mouth and chin. We got to watch him suck his thumb and he yawned. Very cool.
